"They create such a distinct world in their shows," explained Krakowski, referring to series creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock during an interview with Time on Friday.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt follows a young woman (The Office alum Ellie Kemper), who is one of the "mole women" saved from a cult bunker after years of being brainwashed that the world outside had succumbed to an apocalypse. Krakowski plays Kimmy's new wealthy employer, Jackqueline Voorhes, and has had a blast working on the show.

"I love Ellie," she declared. "We had never met or worked together before, and I just adore her. She is sunshine to me. She's incredibly professional, she's so smart and it's great to work with her."

While the subject seems rather dark, the comedy has certainly found its rhythm with audiences. The series has already landed a second season.

So will Kimmy Schmidt take the world by storm? Will it end up Netflix's next award darling?

Krakowski isn't even thinking about the Emmys or the Golden Globes right now. "We're just hoping to have a successful streaming event," she admitted.

The first season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is currently available on Netflix in its entirety. At this time, season two has yet to receive a release date.
