A new report speculates the inclusion of Spiderman in Captain America 3: Civil War after Sony sealed a deal with Marvel for permissions to have the superhero feature in their productions.

While reporting the development Screen Crush revealed that the producers intended to bring in a new avatar of Peter Parker through Civil War, and prep fans for his big solo return in 2017.

Recently another report speculated the possibility of the Iron-Spider featuring in Captain America 3: Civil War.

According to Movie Pilot, it's very possible that the Iron-Spider will be part of Civil War, as in the comic book the movie is based on Tony Stark does create a Spider- Man suit, and Peter Parker went on to wear the suit while he served on Stark's team. It would be an interesting diversion, to see the Spider-Man in an iron suit. The report goes on to flirt other options, like Stark and Parker getting more innovative and working on a suit that incorporates nano-technology.

In other recent news, Robert Downey Jr. finally put the rumors about Civil War in any way being the fourth instalment for Iron Man to rest.

In an interview with Empire magazine, Downey Jr. revealed that he had a pretty substantial role to play in Civil War and it seems like Stark will be one of the primary characters. But that being said, Downey Jr. felt the need to emphasize that it is not a continuation of the Iron Man franchise in anyway.

"Ultimately it's Steve's story; it doesn't say 'Iron Man 4: Civil War'. I think that's great too," he said. "I think Chris [Evans] has been hungry to bring even more of an underside and some shadow to that. I remember the comics - on the surface you got the sense that Cap was baseball and apple pie, but underneath there was all this churning stuff of being a man out of time. Now we know he's made his peace with that. What's the bigger issue? It can have a little something to do with the past, but it can be about someone becoming more modernized in their own conflict."
