Whenever the phrase "video surfaced over the weekend" is used in reference to a celebrity, it's never really a good thing. In fact, it's usually disturbing and/or a PR nightmare. But this time, it's just awesome/adorable.

On Saturday, someone uploaded two videos from 1992 dance performances featuring a very young Ryan Gosling. The Drive star was only 12-years-old at that time, but he showcases some impressive moves and remarkable confidence as the leader of what's introduce as "Ryan & Company".

The video is split in two parts, both of which you can watch below, and, according to People, was discovered/highlighted by Canadian TV producer Jane Chupick (Gosling super fans, may recall that he of the "Hey Girl" meme also hails from the land of maple syrup and hockey). Gosling took to twitter to "thank" Chupick for unearthing the video.

It should be noted that in the Gosling biography that this takes place just before the actor joined the ranks of the Mickey Mouse Club, where he become childhood friends with fellow mousketeer Justin Timberlake.

So how 90s is the footage? Pretty 90s. There's MC Hammer Pants and tunes by C+C Music Factory. But that shouldn't be held against the videos, since they are amazing. Enjoy.
