Archer's sixth season is underway and Christian Slater, who voices Slater, stopped by NBC's Today to talk about the animated series.

'Archer' Season 6 Debuts New Character Profiles

Slater joined Archer last March, debuting in the fifth season's ninth episode, Archer Vice: On the Carpet.

He went on to voice his animated character Slater in two other episodes from Season 5 and has voiced Slater in Season 6 too.

What We Know So Far About 'Archer' Season 6

Slater stopped by Today last week to discuss his character and more.

The actor happened to be a huge fan of the Adam Reed created adult animated series before he even got tapped to join it.

"Just a huge fan and got a call from Adam Reed. Maybe he heard that I was a fan and we ended up talking. He said, 'Would you ever like to do something on the show?' I said, 'Of course!'" Slater explained.

"Then he created this Slater character," he shared, adding, "I love the name, I love the guy, I love the secret identity."

Slater went on to describe the series as "push-the-envelope type of show."

"It's funny, it's witty, it's sardonic, it's crazy. It just turns this whole spy world on its head a little bit and Archer's a great character; always very witty and charming. He's just a beautifully animated character. I just love this guy."

That bit of information led to Slater admitting, "Yeah, I have a crush on Archer."

"That's my man crush!" Slater divulged with a smile, adding, "The cat's out of the bag. That's my man crush."

Archer airs Thursday nights at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
