"Bride Wars" star Anne Hathaway became a real-life bride on Saturday, Sept. 29.

After a one-year engagement, the actress wed Adam Shulman at a private residence in Big Sur on the California coast. 

The biggest talk since the news came out on Sept. 30 was about Hathaway's custom wedding and veil designed for her by Valentino. 

The romantic wedding gown featured an off-the-shoulder neckline with a delicate lace texture and embroidery, according to grainy photos of the wedding.

The "Dark Knight Rises" star topped her pixie haircut with a dramatic veil that draped to the floor accented with a 1920's-inspired vintage headpiece. The stunning veil met the hemline of her floor-sweeping gown.

"The wedding was lovely and Anne looked gorgeous," a source told People. "She looked very pretty."

People posted an online poll, asking readers what they thought of the 29-year-old's look for her special day and almost everyone gave it two thumbs up.

Italian designer Valentino Garavani slipped the news that he was designing the dress for her special day last week.

"She's a very good friend of mine," Garavani reportedly told E! "She's like my daughter.

The "Devil Wears Prada" actress has worn gowns by Valentino on the red carpet for several years. The friends recently attended an event together at the New York City Ballet. Hathaway wore a lovely floral gown for the occasion.

People reported additional details surrounding the wedding. The affair began Friday with a rehearsal dinner at the Ventana Inn & Spa. A San Francisco-based jazz trio, Americano Social Club, played live music for the guests. Over $100,00 worth of flowers and branches were in place to fulfill the rustic and nature theme.The scenic location is where Natalie Portman held her nuptials earlier this year. Hathaway even hired Portman's wedding planners for the special event. The event was coordinated by Yifat Oren and Stefanie Cove.

The marriage is the first for both actors.
