The sixth and latest installment of Capcom's "Resident Evil " will be rolling out on Tuesday for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The PC version will not be out for a little while longer. The game will be available in three different formats: standard, anthology and archives, which will give fans the decision to choose just how much they want to pay for the zombie shooter game.

At the center of "Resident Evil 6" is the game's seven lead characters and four campaigns. Instead of combining all of the storylines and characters into one single campaign, Capcom lays them out through four distinct paths, with each having its own beginning and end. To many gaming experts, the respective approach serves to magnify RE6's accolades.

The world of "Resident Evil 6" is composed little by little through its four main storylines, which will still manage to correspond with each other. Anticipation is continuously built as the characters develop and the story phases unfold. While many gamers will find themselves questioning aspects of the premise, they will inevitably reach an epiphany as the game play progresses.

"Resident Evil 6" director Sasaki-san had recently spoken to PlayStation about the obstacles he had to overcome in terms of weaving the game's storyline design with its hefty script.

"I think it's the human drama that we really wanted to convey. The script is just so packed with stuff. Trying to blend everything from the script with the game design and make that come together was really a challenge."

"What we tried while writing the script was to incorporate the level design and the design of the game itself so they blended seamlessly together. That was the toughest part," he continued.

Capcom's "Resident Evil 6" has been released today.
