Actor Wes Bentley will be a series regular on FX's American Horror Story: Hotel, joining an ever-expanding cast for season 5 of the anthology series.

Is Connie Britton Getting Ready to Return to 'American Horror Story'?

American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed the news on Twitter Tuesday morning, saying that Bentley will be a series regular in season 5.

Are Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters & More Coming Back For 'American Horror Story' Season 5?

Bentley previously appeared as the ghost of Edward Mordrake in American Horror Story: Freak Show, the man with another face on the back of his head. His memorable guest spot may have been part of what earned him a prime slot in Hotel.

This now makes four cast members in American Horror Story: Hotel. Bentley joins Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson, who have previously been announced.

Curiously, no previous marquee stars have been announced as returning for season 5 yet. Regulars like Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy and more have not revealed if they will be returning for Hotel despite appearing in every season thus far.

One star American Horror Story fans should not expect to see in season 5 is Jessica Lange. The legendary actress, who has had leading roles in the past three seasons of the show, announced officially on Sunday that she was "done" with the series moving forward.

More cast announcements will likely be made in the weeks and/or months to come.

American Horror Story: Hotel is expected to air in October on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
