Actress Chloë Sevigny has been added to the growing cast of FX's American Horror Story: Hotel.

Are Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters & More Coming Back For 'American Horror Story' Season 5?

Sevigny will be a series regular in American Horror Story: Hotel, as co-creator Ryan Murphy announced on Twitter Tuesday. The actress joins previously announced stars including Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson and Wes Bentley in the fifth season of the horror anthology series.

Frances Conroy Unable To Star In 'American Horror Story' Season 5?

This is not Sevigny's first experience with American Horror Story. The character actress guest starred in American Horror Story: Asylum as Shelley, a nymphomaniac living in the Briarcliff asylum who suffered a rather unfortunate fate at the hands of Dr. Arden (James Cromwell). She appeared in six episodes of the season.

The cast of American Horror Story: Hotel is gradually rising as the weeks go on. However, there has been a curious lack of the show's regulars being announced as returning. Stars like Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett have not revealed if they are returning for Hotel despite all starring in AHS: Coven and AHS: Freak Show together.

While the cast is often quite large, the lack of big names from seasons past suggests that Hotel might be a big year of reinvention for the show. The anthology series has mostly used the same cast through the first four seasons and many of the stars are pursuing other projects outside of the show due to their growing fame and popularity.

AHS fans should likely expect more cast announcements in the weeks and months to come.

American Horror Story: Hotel debuts in October on FX.
