"The Price is Right's" first ever male model was announced Friday during the show as Rob Wilson of Boston and is expected to begin October 15.

A picture of the good looking model who resembles "Twilight's" Taylor Lautner, featured him shirtless with a "Price is Right" style tag on his bare chest that read "ROB."

Some critics said CBS "degraded" the model by featuring him shirtless with the tag on the picture.

"Sadly for Rob Wilson of Boston, his on-air stint will only last one week, beginning on October 15. The image of him topless with an artful Price Is Right-style nametag, however, will last on the Internet forever," wrote Vanity Fair reporter Julie Miller.

People on Twitter were also joking about it.

"Congrats to the 1st male spokesmodel on The Price Is Right! And condolences to the dad of the 1st male spokesmodel on The Price Is Right!" user Mike Polk Jr. wrote on Twitter today.

CBS didn't provide details about Wilson's age, education or experience as model, but some female fans were very positive about the selection.

Wilson was voted by fans among 26 contestants. He and the other male models responded to a call in Los Angeles on August 30 and competed in a series of challenges that included writing, singing and changing costumes at a frantic pace, CBS said.

The three finalists were Wilson, Clint Brink and Nick Denbeigh.

CBS' "The Price is Right" is the longest running game show in the U.S. and airs on weekdays at 11 am EST.
