De Pablo initially joined the NCIS cast in 2005 as Ziva David just as Sasha Alexander's character Kate Todd was killed off.

Fans of Ziva and the blooming relationship between her and Michael Weatherly's character Tony DiNozzo have not been happy with how things ended between them. Ziva was last seen in the second episode of Season 11, but she remains living so there is always hope for her return.
