The Fosters fans have something to look forward to in the third season as a new character comes aboard.

'The Fosters' Gets Renewed For A Third Season

On Wednesday, TV Line shared some details on the new guy who will be named Tony. He is described as a musician with talent who's "good-looking in an 'adorkable' way." It sounds like things might be tough for him since he pressures himself harder than he should.

This is basically the main idea so far on who Tony is, but the site had its own theory on where his character could wind up. He may be a good friend of Brandon's or he could be Callie's new love interest- or, perhaps, he might get the best of both of these worlds.

If he does turn out to be Brandon's friend and Callie's new man, then this could make things complicated for Brandon since he and Callie have had their own love story.

As a new character enters the series, a familiar face will be leaving; it was previously announced that Jake T. Austin (Jesus) will be leaving the show although a reason has yet to be given.

Considering that Jesus got into a serious car accident with his birth mom and twin sister in the season finale, there is a good chance that his character could be killed off. It's too soon to tell, but fans might want to brace themselves for the worst just in case.

The Fosters Season 3 is expected to premiere this summer on ABC Family.
