Chaka Khan, who is the original singer of Houston's infamous I'm Every Woman song, told The Mirror UK over the weekend, "I can't say that I was shocked....Whitney would be devastated.

"I wish she was here...You really don't know what this is like for a mother until it happens to you. I think I'm pretty close to feeling what she would have felt and what she's feeling right now, wherever she is."

Khan added that she was "definitely hurt and disappointed," to hear about Brown. The 22-year-old was found unconscious in her bathtub on Jan. 31. She has been in a medically induced coma since she was admitted to the hospital. Brown is the only child of Houston and famed R&B singer Bobby Brown.

The Ain't Nobody singer added, "I've been in conversation with the family. Everyone's devastated, everyone. I love Bobbi Kristina, I love Whitney, I love Bobby Brown. I love Cissy- I love them all. But we just have to wait for what happens next. All I want to do is be there for them. I just need to pray."

Bobbi Kristina was troubled even before her incident. She fought off rumors that she was struggling with drug abuse while carrying on a controversial relationship with Nick Gordon. The two claimed that they were married, but after Bobbi Kristina was taken to the hospital, it was confirmed that there was no record of a marriage license.
