Simon Cowell, who's never been afraid to trash performances before, has spoken up on the bullying remarks from two former judges on The X Factor New Zealand.

Natalia Kills & Willy Moon Fired From 'X Factor New Zealand'

While Cowell has always been open on his thoughts of singing renditions that don't go well, he even disapproved of Natalia Kills' remarks to X Factor contestant Joe Irvine when she called his performance "disgusting" and said she was embarrassed to be there.

"It was hateful," Cowell told Daily Mail's Weekend magazine posted on Sky News on Sunday. "She sounded mad. It didn't even make sense."

'X Factor New Zealand' Contestant Joe Irvine Thanks Fans For Support Amid Harsh Comments From Judges

Kills was fired from the series for taking her harsh comments too far with Irvine. Her husband, Willy Moon, was fired as well after he compared the contestant to fictional murderer Norman Bates.

When Irvine performed in a suit, Kills accused him of copying her husband, which did not make her happy.

"As an artist who respects creative integrity and intellectual property, I am disgusted at how much you have copied my husband," the "Zombie" singer said. "From the hair to the suit, do you not have any value or respect for originality? You're a laughing stock. It's cheesy, it's disgusting. I personally found it absolutely artistically atrocious."

Kills later sent her regards to Irvine in a post via Twitter.

"I was encouraged to be outspoken and things got out of hand," she wrote. "Joe, I hope you can forgive me and I wish you all the best! Be natural, be unconventional and be you!"
