According to Venture Capital Post, Gwyneth Paltrow might be returning as Pepper Potts in Iron Man 4 but it might be the last film she does for the franchise.

Iron Man 4 Set For A 2019 Release? 

The report reveals that it is rumored that Potts will die in the fourth instalment. Venture Capital Post discusses how the love of Stark's life has been subject to numerous life and death situations in the movies, but that this time around she might finally be pushed over the edge.

While rumours about the plot are rife, the development of the movie is still in a state of limbo, and there have been reports that hint at the actor Robert Downey Jr., who plays the pivotal role, might not be reprising his role in the next movie.

Jeff Bridges Coming Back For Iron Man 4?

Speaking to Empire magazine, the actor talked about how Civil War might not have come to be, had he gone ahead with Iron Man 4.

"They said to me, 'If we have you, we can do this, or Cap 3 has to be something else.' It's nice to feel needed. And at this point it's about helping each other, too," he said. "I look at it as a competition and I go, 'Wow, maybe if these two franchises teamed up and I can take even a lesser position, with people I like and directors I respect, maybe we can keep things bumping along.'"

In fact, recent reports are setting off the rumor that a young child might be the main star in Iron Man 4.

Air Herald believes that the child who assists Stark in the third movie, Harley Keener, might take over the mantle of the Iron Man.
