After Lindsay Lohan announced that she has severed ties with her father, Michael Lohan, the actress has vocalized her interest in another man - Presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

When Lohan was asked about the presidential election and who she is in favor, she told E!, "I just think employment is really important right now. So, as of now, Mitt Romney. As of now."

She then reportedly said, "It's a long story" to defend an answer some people might find shocking.

The "Liz & Dick" actress made the comment whe she attended the Mr. Pink Ginseng Drink launch party at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills on Thursday, Oct.11.

Lohan's comments about the election are not her first.

On Sept. 7, the former Disney star shared her thoughts about President Obama directly to his Twitter account.

When Obama's team posted the following quote from his address at the 2012 Democratic National Convention, "I've cut taxes for those who need it: middle-class families, small businesses," Lohan replied to the President's tweet.

"We also need to cut them for those that are listed on Forbes as 'millionaires' if they are not, you must consider that as well."

Lohan has yet to clarify if she was referring to herself. The President did not repond to her comment.

Lohan's trip to California was reportedly a means to get away from her mother Dina Lohan.

According to TMZ sources, the two Lohans were coming out from a nightclub where Dina got "wasted." The two apparently quarreled over whether Lindsay would be staying overnight at her mother's home in North Merrick or at a Manhattan hotel.

Lindsay called her father, Michael Lohan and said her mother was acting "like the f---ing devil" as they argued in a limousine en route to Dinah's home in Long Island.

Michael proceeded to call the Nassau County Police. When Lindsay and Dinah arrived at the home, the police were already there waiting for them. No one was arrested.

Nassau police spokesman Officer Eloise Abdullah spoke to the Daily News on the incident that transpired, saying the following:

"It was an argument between Lindsay Lohan and her mother. The police responded, and no further police action was taken. It was closed out. There were no injuries and no complaints followed. There is nothing else we can do."

On Oct.11, Lindsay called TMZ to share that she is not on speaking terms with her father now and that he violated her trust when he leaked their phone call to the media.

Lindsay told the gossip site she is "done" with him because Michael "doesn't know what it means to be a father. He doesn't want to be a dad."

Lindsay then defended her argument with her mother, "Daughters have fights with their moms. It happens a lot. It's normal."
