Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) is the centre of attention in the new teaser for Terminator: Genisys, and she is metamorphosed from the elaborate throne in the Game of Thrones.
This is obviously a play on Clarke's role as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series. The actress is most known for portraying the dragon queen on Game of Thrones, and the character might have had something to do with earning her the iconic part of Sarah Connor in Genisys.
In an interview with Moviefone in November last year, Alan Taylor, who is directing Genisys, spoke about how his work on Game of Thrones helped with directing the film.
"Every challenge seems potentially daunting. I don't think I could have done the job if I hadn't done Game of Thrones because it got me comfortable with epic imagery and stunts and chopping people's hands off and stuff," he said. "And I don't think I would have been offered the job without it. But I was going in pretty weary, and it wasn't the scale, because having shot in Iceland with White Walkers and stuff."
The runs with a tag line honouring Sarah Connor "the mother of the resistance."
Terminator: Genisys has been directed by Alan Taylor and also stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Guardian, Jason Clarke as John Connor, and Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese
