Emily Maynard and her fiance Jef Holm have split, according to a source close to them, but the couple has not made an official announcement yet.

Multiple reports claim that Maynard and Holm, who got engaged on the finale of "The Bachelorette," have ended their engagement. People Magazine, Us Weekly and Reality Steve are all suggesting that the couple has split. But Wetpaint reports that a source confirmed the news to them.

"It just happened," the source told Wetpaint. "They're not together anymore. They're probably going to announce it soon, they just need to figure out how to do it."

"They're telling people its over," the source adds. "They were both too unhappy to go on." 

Maynard and Holm have not responded to requests for comment, contrary to what they have done in the past, trying to deny rumors that Maynard cheated on Holm and was exchanging provocative text messages with another man. 

Another source told People that Maynard and Holm have not been spending much time together recently. According to the magazine, the couple was spotted together last Sunday shopping with Maynard's 7-year-old daughter Ricki, but ever since they have barely seen each other.

Reports also claim that Holm was flirting with a blonde woman that looked like Maynard -but it wasn't her-, in Laguna Beach, California on October 4.

"He touched her hip and pulled her toward him," the source told Us Weekly.

In August, Us Weekly reported that Holm caught Maynard texting another man, alleged to be Oakland Riders backup quarterback Matt Leinart. 

Holm's ex-girlfriend Kaylee Shepherd told the magazine that Holm admitted that his relationship with Maynard was "basically for TV." According to Hollywood Life, Shepherd also said that Holm came up with a master plan: to promise to keep his mouth shut if Maynard gave him half the earning she made from the reality show. 

"Jef said their relationship isn't what it seems. It's all basically for TV. He said, If I was happily engaged I never would have texted you," Shepherd said.

Maynard and Holm met on the popular dating show and they became the talk of the media when he proposed to her before millions of people at the show's finale.
