One of the characters from Mistresses might wind up in court this season- but not because of legal troubles.

There Are 'Some Great Plans' Coming To 'Mistresses' This Season

On Tuesday, TV Line posted some new details on the ABC drama when April (Rochelle Aytes) gets an unexpected visit from her mother who just so happens to be a judge. At the moment, it does not seem like the role of April's mom has been cast yet, but odds are likely she'll be a powerful woman since she has the authority to put her clients in serious jeopardy with the law.

The only other detail about this new character is that her name will be Marjorie and she's expected to show up in the sixth episode of the season. She will also not have that close of a relationship with her daughter so that's bound to bring in some intriguing scenes.

What's Happening With Alyssa Milano's Character On 'Mistresses?'

It seems that April is going to have a memorable year on the show since she's also set to have a new love interest with her daughter's school headmaster. According to another TV Line report, a man named Blair is going to embark upon some kind of romance with April.

"She feels safe and protected when she's around him," the site wrote. "His mere presence commands respect, making him the ideal partner at a time when her daughter needs some serious structure in her life."

Mistresses Season 3 premieres on Thursday, June 18 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
