All the superhero nerds might want to get excited for a possible crossover that might take place on television.

Chatter On The Explosive 'Plastique' On 'The Flash'

On Wednesday, Hollywood Life mentioned that Superman might appear in the second season of The Flash. According to a user on "DC Comics," the actor who plays Superman may be Tom Welling- known for playing the iconic character in TV series Smallville.

"[Executive producer] Greg Berlanti told reports during a CW event that Superman may appear in season 2 of The Flash," the user wrote. "Now, from what I gather, this Superman is going to be played by Tom Welling and his Superman may or may not be tied to Smallville, but I think that at the end season 1 would introduce an alternate timeline where Superman exists and Caitlin and Cisco are metahumans."

'The Flash' & 'Arrow' Crossover Chatter

Even though this is just a theory, it still might be worth preparing for. Considering that superhero crossovers do pretty well, odds are likely that a story like this wouldn't disappoint.

While this is one thing to watch out for in the season finale, another big situation coming up will involve Iris learning the truth about her love life. According to TV Line, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg mentioned that this will actually happen sooner than the finale.

"How that happens and how it plays out with everybody else is going to make up the core of the last few episodes," the producer said. "She is not [going to be] happy with Joe and Barry and Eddie."

The Flash airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
