The school attended to by President Obama's daughters has been evacuated.

On Thursday, Sidwell Friends, the Washington D.C. private school attended by Sasha and Malia Obama, was evacuated due to a suspicious phone call, according to Fox News.

The administrative office received the suspicious call, but no information has been released on the voice of the person who made the call.

Students and faculty were taken out of the private academy and waited at a nearby soccer field while police and the Secret Service investigated the scene.

Araz Alali, a spokesperson for the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, said the school was clear of any threats.

A message was broadcast around 11:30 a.m. on the private school's emergency alert system that stated: "This is an emergency message from Sidwell Friends School. Due to a suspicious phone call, the buildings on the Wisconsin Avenue campus have been evacuated. We will notify you when further information is available."

At this time there is no evidence as to whether the suspicious phone call targeted President Obama's daughters, according to police.

However, the Secret Service continues to investigate all possibilities.

"We are aware of the threat and are monitoring the situation, which is being handled by MPD," Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan told POLITICO.

The Washingtonian reported that shortly after noon a message was released to parents stating: "As reported earlier, the School received a suspicious phone call and evacuated the buildings on the Wisconsin Avenue campus. After an investigation by law enforcement officials, it was determined that students were not at risk. They have returned to class."

With the authorities having given an all clear, students have returned to their classes.
