With only one episode left until the season 4 finale of Scandal, fans of the show are anxiously wainting to see what show creator Shonda Rhimes has up her sleeve.

While producers can't give away too many details about the upcoming episodes, actress Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn and director Tom Verica have been using their social networking sites to engage viewers and clearly fans are beyond excited to watch when the episode airs.

On Sunday, Washington took to Twitter to announce that she and some cast mates were on set finishing up the finale episode, writing, "Today we are filming on Sunday to get this Scandal finale shot for you Gladiators because it's handled."

Despite the fact that there are only two episodes left until season 4 comes to an end, in Shondaland, no one is every really safe and viewers should always expect the unexpected.

According to TVLine, Olivia Pope is planning to hire a new gladiator to join Olivia Pope and Associates after two of her team members left.

It looks like Liv is finally planning to fill one of the vacant spots left empty by Harrison's tragic death and Abby's decision to take a job at the White House.

The site reports there's a twist to these reports. Apparently the newcomer will be a familiar face to Scandal watchers so viewers will know exactly who this person is when the news is revealed.

Scandal airs every Thursday night at 9 p.m. on ABC. Sadly, the show will be on hiatus for a week, but viewers can watch a sneak peek of the next week's brand new episode in the video below
