Baywatch alum Jeremy Jackson was arrested on Saturday for assault with a deadly weapon in Westlake, Calif, that according to the E! News.

According to the site, the 34-year-old actor was arrested after police suspect that he stabbed a man and then fled the scene.

The Los Angeles Police Department reported that officials responded to a 9-1-1 call on Friday after someone said that a man was stabbed with a knife in the 1600 block of 7th Street. Officers say that the unidentified alleged victim was stabbed on his left side on the higher part of his torso and was taken to the Los Angeles County USC Medical Center were he was treated for his wounds.

While the attacker fled the scene before officials arrived on the scene, the injured man identified his assailant as Hobie, the name of the actor's character on the popular show.

Jackson was seen prowling around the same neighborhood and when police responded to a call, they realized that 'prowler' was the same man in question and he was immediately arrested.

The actor was booked around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday and his bail was set at $30,000. After being released later that evening, Jackson told TMZ that he was acting in self-defense, claiming that the unidentified man tried to rob him at a party her threw.

The actor recently sat down with E! to admit that he had been struggling with addiction in the past and he also added that he was abusing alcohol and methamphetamines.
