Nastia Liukin does not want her Dancing With the Stars partner to "rush" back to complete the season with her.

Julianne Hough Says Brother Derek's Injuries Are 'Serious'

Hough sustained multiple injuries last Monday and was forced to sit out of last night's performance episode of Dancing With the Stars. Sasha Farber stepped in as Liukin's new partner and it was a success, with the pair receiving the highest score of the night.

While Hough is a go-getter and definitely wants to return to being Liukin's dancing partner, Liukin does not want him to push it.

Fans Are Outraged Over The Latest 'DWTS' Elimination

"We're taking it day by day, and I think that's really the only way you can really do it," Liukin said, according to E! Online. "But he does have a busy summer, a busy year ahead of him, so I kind of told him, 'Please don't rush it. You have so much ahead of you.' Obviously I would love to dance with him next week, but if he's not ready enough to do that then we have Sasha, who has been absolutely amazing."

Meanwhile, Farber admitted that he is having a good time being Liukin's partner, though he is hoping his buddy Hough has a speedy recovery.

"Derek's definitely got some big shoes to fill...It's not the best circumstance for me to step in," Farber admitted. Luckily Hough still gets to choreograph routines.

"It's literally a team effort," Farber explained. "I've been having so much fun, but I just hope he heals really quickly and gets back in the competition."

Either way it seems like Liukin is here to stay in the competition, so even if Hough is forced to sit out of the rest of the season, she still has a good shot of taking home the Mirrorball trophy.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
