Willis has turned into one of the frontrunners to win Dancing With the Stars, but Moore didn't even want her to compete initially.

A clip package showed before one of Willis' dances with partner Val Chmerkovskiy showed Moore explaining her hesitation.

"My whole insides, I have to be honest, were screaming, 'No,' " Moore said. However, watching Willis do so well in the competition and blossom so much proved that she had nothing to worry about.

"One of the most beautiful things I've witnessed is watching her passion become greater than her fear," Moore said. "It has nothing to do with her being my kid or Bruce's kid. It has everything to do with just who she is."

Willis just performed in the semifinals on Monday, dancing the Viennese Waltz to "Earned It" from Fifty Shades of Grey. She received a perfect score for her other dance of the evening, a Contemporary to the theme from Swan Lake.

Willis is one of only four celebrities still in the competition. She, Nastia Liukin, Riker Lynch and Noah Galloway are competing for a chance to compete in the final week of competition and a chance at the Mirrorball trophy. But one of them will be cut Tuesday night, leaving just three competitors left.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
