The New Orleans Saints (2-4) will head to Denver to take on the Broncos (3-3) in a Week 8 "Sunday Night Football" matchup that will feature two of the greatest quarterbacks of the last decade in Drew Brees and Peyton Manning.

The Broncos are coming out of a bye week after an exciting come from behind victory against the San Diego Chargers in Week 6. QB Manning will step onto the gridiron on a hot streak, having silenced his naysayers who brought his arm strength into question earlier in the season. The veteran signal caller is currently on pace for one of the best seasons of his career in several categories: completion percentage, touchdown passes and quarterback rating.

A true testament of Manning's success has been his offensive weaponry. There are six Denver players that already have 17 receptions, which surpasses all other NFL teams except the Tennessee Titans (six players with 17 catches).

The Saints are starting to perform up to their capabilities after starting out the season 0-4. The team won its second straight game in Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After passing for a record 5,476 yards in 2011, Brees is currently on pace for close to 5,600 yards passing this year. The premiere quarterback's next touchdown pass will be the 300th of his career, which would ironically tie him with Broncos legend John Elway (sixth place all time) and extend his TD record to 50 straight games.

Manning had spoken highly of his Week 8 counterpart, according to the Cannon City Daily Record.

"A season record is one thing. But any records that span over three or four years tell you what a consistent player he's been since he's gotten here. Obviously, that offense is based around him and they've just kind of flourished and gotten better and better every year."

Denver is looking to improve to 4-3 and take the top spot in the closely matched AFC West Division while New Orleans is hoping to continue their positive momentum and keep their NFC playoff aspirations alive.
