Derek Hough once again doesn't know if he's returning to ABC's Dancing With the Stars this fall for season 21.

Hough finished in fourth with his celebrity partner Nastia Liukin during the semifinal week of Dancing With the Stars last Tuesday. The pro admitted in his TVGuide.com blog last week that he wasn't sure if he was returning for the new season.

"I don't know for sure yet if I'm coming back next season," Hough wrote. "That's still a few months away and I'm not looking that far ahead yet. I still have two more seasons in my contract, so we'll see."

Hough had a rough season this spring as he flew back and forth between competing on Dancing With the Stars in Los Angeles and being the male lead in New York Spring Spectacular in NYC. He also suffered multiple injuries late in the season and was forced to mostly sit on the sidelines for the rest of the season. Sasha Farber replaced him as Liukin's new partner.

Prior to season 20, Hough had been announced as not returning but there was a last-minute change as the pro was able to make it work with both New York and Los Angeles. While he won't be in the play this fall, could he be looking to move on to bigger and better things? Only time will tell.

The finale of Dancing With the Stars airs Monday at 8 p.m. and Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
