Breakout star of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Stevie J might have had his hard times recently as he faces court allegations he owes more than $1 million in back child support; but a famous R&B singer revealed he helped her get out of a huge bind.

Stevie J Tries To Prove He Doesn’t Owe $1 Million In Child Support

Faith Evans made an appearance on Monday night’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. She visited Stevie J in rehab, which caused an interview she did with Vlad TV last year to resurface. In the video the "Love Like This" singer revealed that Stevie J once gave her a hefty loan.

“Stevie is my brother. I love him…”

Evans, who was the wife of late hip-hop icon Notorious B.I.G (real name Christopher Wallace), added that Stevie J was the original choice to be the godfather of she and Biggie’s son, CJ Wallace. She said she wanted to buy a home and was waiting for her first advance after breaking into the music industry. He loaned her $75,000 so she could get a home just before she gave birth.

As for whether Stevie J was as wild back in the day as he is now, Faith said she doesn’t know too much about that.

“I’ve heard a lot of crazy stories. But I can’t say I’ve witnessed any.”

One thing she does remember is Stevie J’s then girlfriend, who is the mother of his two oldest children, stayed with the latest and greatest fashions back in the day. Interestingly enough, it’s said that is the woman who claims he now owes the back child support.
