Agents of SHIELD fans are itching to see a MCU movie/television cross over, but viewers may have to wait a little longer.

'Agents OF SHIELD' Season 3: Luke Mitchell Responds To Series Regular Status; Secret Warriors in Lincoln's Future?

Four Marvel films have hit theaters since Agents of SHIELD kicked off it's freshman season and, while each film has had some sort or ramification on the storyline, none of them have featured a cameo from a member of Director Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team. While film characters have jumped the gap - Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), some HYDRA baddies - Marvel seems to have an issue initiating movement in the opposite direction

Now that filming is underway for Captain America: Civil War, the question has jumped to the fore once more. Caps (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) will all appear in the 2016 film, and each of these Avengers have deep-rooted ties to SHIELD. Could this connection pull a member of the ABC series into the fold?

"Captain America: Civil War" Ousts Nick Fury, Will Coulson Step Up?

As far as Ming-Na Wen (May) knows, the future is currently unclear.

"I don't know. It's totally up to Marvel," Wen said at Dallas Con https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEQSLLu0Liw in May. "There's the cinematic world and then there is the television world and they have interlinked us, but as far as what their future plans are, you know as much as I do."

It sounds like fans will have to keep their eyes peeled as fan photos stream in from the set of Captain America 3. Now that the series has their own superheroes, the impending Registration Act will surly bring Coulson's team into the picture, at least in passing reference.
