'Odd Mom Out' Series Premiere: Watch A SNEAK PEEK Of New Bravo Series About Not Fitting In [VIDEO]
In a world where fitting in with those around you seems like the best thing to do, Jill Weber (Jill Kargman) may just be made to stand out instead on Bravo's new series, Odd Mom Out.
The series, Bravo's second dip into scripted shows following their successful hit Girlfriend's Guide To Divorce earlier this year, follows the story of Jill, a newly implanted Upper East Side mom who needs to figure out how to navigate the cliquey wealthy mom groups she's surrounded by--led by her own sister-in-law, Brooke (Abby Elliott).
In a preview clip for the show, Jill's problems seem to start when her husband Andy's (Andy Buckley) brother, Lex (Sean Kleier) has major success at work, changing the status of he and his wife drastically, and setting Jill and her husband up for a less comfortable situation, as they start to compete with their counterparts for attention and status.
"Between Lexington and 5th, I'm a charity case," Jill laments in the clip. "People act like I live in a cardboard box!"
In addition to not fitting in because she's not as wealthy as her counterparts, Jill also has trouble making friends because she is so different from everyone else in personality as well--and doesn't understand the rules of being a wealthy Upper East Side mom--especially when she goes out to nice dinners with her husband, brother and sister-in-law and her mother-in-law Candace (Joanna Cassidy).
"Oh, yay Bread!" Kill says in the clip.
"NO! No Bread!" her mother-in-law and sister-in-law shout.
Odd Mom Out premieres Monday, June 8 at 10 p.m. on Bravo.
