With the launch date of the special Fast and Furious ride at Universal Studios Hollywood just around the corner, the details of the theme park attraction have been revealed.

SlashFilm gave away some specs on the ride, which is called Fast and Furious: Supercharged and the gates to which will open on June 25. The report reveals that this ride will be quite meta and will actually follow a plot which involves villain Owen Shaw and other characters like Dom (Vin Diesel) and Detective Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson). While on the tram ride, the visitors will find out that they need to protect one of their own, and the high speed ride will begin. According to SlashFilm's exciting description the Universal Studios Studio Tour tram ride will "culminate in a 360 degree experience that'll have you racing through the streets of Los Angeles."

Previously, in a press statement announcing the launch, Diesel dished about how fans will get to finally experience what they do while filming for the Furious series.

"Once you go on the ride, it's an opportunity to physically feel some of the adrenaline that we feel everyday while we're filming," Diesel said.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the rides will be set to 120 miles/hour and will feature some of the mega stars from the franchise like Diesel, Johnson and Michelle Rodriguez.

In a promo clip for the new attraction Universal Creative's show producer Chick Russell revealed that they were aiming to give the visitors the experience of being "driven into a Fast and Furious film."

"They're going to have the heat of fire flying at you," Rodriguez said. "It's really a sensory driven experience, so, I can't wait to see what happens."

"I get a chance to become Luke Hobbs and kickass all in 3D," Johnson said about his experience working on creating the experience for the theme park attraction.

Fast and Furious 8 will release on April 15, 2017.

Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
