Look out, Twitch: YouTube has announced the launch of its own built-in game streaming service, YouTube Gaming.

The Second Day Of Steam's Summer Sale Is Now Live

Gamers around the world use Twitch and other services to stream their own gameplay sessions live, and often want to upload those videos to YouTube to share. YouTube Gaming will skip that middle man, offering 60 frames per second streaming and automatic on-demand video conversion for broadcasts.

The service will launch later this summer in the U.S. and U.K., with no exact date provided at this time. There are more details available in the official blog post about the announcement, which was made at a special YouTube Space L.A. preview event today. E3 attendees will also be able to see demonstrations of the upcoming, new YouTube Gaming experience at the YouTube booth 801 on the main floor of the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 16-18, 2015.

YouTube Gaming will offer individual channels for more than 25,000 games, keeping all the streams and videos for each game on one page. It will also be easy to uncover recommendations and find what you're looking for--YouTube says you can "search with confidence, knowing that typing "call" will show you "Call of Duty" and not Call Me Maybe." Live game streaming has grown exponentially over the past few years, and while Twitch has been dominating the market, a similar service from a site as ubiquitous as YouTube is a serious challenger.
