Any problems they're facing in their personal lives may be pushed to the side on Return to Amish, as Kate, Rebecca, Abe and Jeremiah all rush to the side of their ailing matriarch Mary.

Mary collapsed in a coughing fit and was having trouble breathing, resulting in her being brought to a hospital during the show's last episode. Now, everyone will be by her side as they begin worrying about her health, and how it will affect her as she continues trying to find the right balance between maintaining a relationship with her actual children, as well as finding a way back into the church's good graces. 

As they all worry about Mary's health, they will also be forced to deal with her business venture she began before falling ill--her Amish bed and breakfast. Mary was hoping the business would be the perfect way to show her commitment to the church--but her husband, Chester, who has since been mainly accepted back in after being shunned, may have some choice words and opinions which could dampen his wife's spirits. If he doesn't believe it is a good way of showing her commitment, it could cause more problems in their strained marriage--and it could also set Mary further back from her cause.

Meanwhile, Jeremiah will also be in for a surprise when an unwelcome presence from his past shows up in Punxsutawney--and potentially finds a way to change his life around.
