Veteran's Day is on Monday and numerous restaurants and stores are offering discounts for customers.

The Military Wire, which discusses and raises public awareness on issues affecting service members and their families, posted a list of some companies holding special offers on Monday, Nov. 12.

Veterans (with proof of service) can eat free at any Olive Garden location in the U.S. on Monday. Service members can choose from specific entrees on a special menu made only for Veteran's Day and some Olive Garden restaurants will give out a $10 gift card to veterans for future use.

Golden Corral's 9th annual Military Appreciation dinner on Monday is from 4 to 9 pm. All Golden Corral restaurants nationwide offer a free dinner to any person who has ever served in the United States Military, past and present, including those in the National Guard or Reserves.

T.G.I. Friday's West Valley City location offers veterans and active service members free meals on Veteran's Day after showing proof of service, which may include U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, a U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, a photograph in uniform, or wearing a uniform in person.

Participating Denny's restaurants offer all-you-can-eat pancake meals on Monday.

Home Depot and Lowes will have a 10 percent military discount available to the following: active-duty military members, National Guard and Reserve members, retirees, "honorably discharged veterans" and immediate family members of all those eligible. Customers must show proof of military service.
