Today's games (which will change again at 1 p.m. Eastern tomorrow) seem to run the gamut in terms of genres, and there should definitely be something that interests everyone this time around.

The deals for today, which can be accessed through Steam's site or the downloadable client, include 50 percent off Telltale's Game of Thrones series, currently priced at $14.99. There's also an Elder Scrolls franchise sale with big discounts on Oblivion and Skyrim (plus its DLC), as well as an ARMA II franchise sale. Individual price cuts for Banished, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Planetary Annihilation and more are also available.

The sale will run from June 11-21, with new deals every day. Flash sales on specific games will also change every 12 hours, offering a constant rotation of cheap offers. The real challenge is not spending all of your money on games you might play, but it's tough not to jump on great offers.

The Summer Sale is gaming overload for many, and a great way to grab titles you may have had to pass on earlier in the year (or years past) for cheap. It's not the only promotional sale Valve runs during the year, but it's definitely the biggest. Check back every 12 hours--or at least once a day--for the new deals. Steam is also running a Monster Summer Game you can participate in to create new discounts (details for that here).
