The next episode of ABC Family's procedural drama Stitchers is going to be full of questions!

The Stitchers program's foundation still has yet to be totally explained, but more about it seems to be revealed in the upcoming fifth episode called The Stitcher in the Rye.

According to the press release, Kirsten (Emma Ishta) will start receiving cryptic messages "from an unexpected source."

Based on the video preview for the episode below it looks like perhaps Kirsten will come in contact with Marta (Tiffany Hines), the original Stitcher in the program.

"The Stitchers program was created to help people," Kirsten says to Marta, which Marta basically shuts down.

"Oh, you still think you're solving murders," Marta states in reply.

Is Marta responsible for cryptically contacting Kirsten? It seems possible considering she has plenty of insight on the program and is officially out of her coma, but at the end of the previous episode there was a cloaked figure in the Stitchers lab that snuck by Maggie (Salli Richardson-Whitfield). The cloaked figure was also seen later on by viewers, so perhaps whomever that individual is, is responsible for sending Kirsten cryptic messages.

This upcoming episode will also touch on Kirsten not trusting her colleagues since the algorithm for the Stitchers program will turn up among very many classified documents that were hidden by a conspiracy theorist.

Stitchers airs on ABC Family at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesdays.
