Kim Kardashian recently traveled across the pond to promote her fashion line in England, and she's hoping fashion icon Kate Middleton will become a fan of her designs.

Kim and her older sister Kourtney Kardashian were in London to attend the launch party for the newest extension of their clothing line, Kardashian Kollection for Dorothy Perkins.

The party was a runaway success, with tons of fans lining up to meet the Kardashian sisters. The event even included a surprise appearance from Kim's longtime boyfriend Kanye West.

During the launch party, Kim spoke to reporters about an English woman who has become one of her personal style icons - Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. Kardashian said she admired Middleton's wardrobe and would love to see her wearing pieces from the Kardashian Kollection.

"We love her sense of fashion. She could wear our looks and team it with one of her hats," Kim said.

But Kim has taken the next step from simply hoping Middleton might wear one of the Kardashian Kollection designs. She sent Middleton several of her favorite dresses from the collection in hopes that the duchess will wear them in public.

"She hoped Kate might be seen wearing one of the designs out in public, which would give their fashion credentials a huge boost," a source said. "The Kardashians want to be as big in Britain as they are in America, and think associating themselves with the Royals, especially Kate, will help them achieve that,"

Kim wrote a post for her Celebuzz profile to gush about her time and London, and she said the launch party for her fashion line was by far the highlight of her experience there.

"The highlight of my trip to London was our signing at Westfield where we met hundreds of our London fans and celebrated the launch of our Kardashian Kollection for Dorothy Perkins," Kim wrote. "The turn out was absolutely incredible!! We were all amazed by how many people had lined up for hours to meet us. You were all so sweet and supportive!! Thank you so much to everyone who came out."
