It appears that some of Jenny McCarthy's views on vaccinations may have affected her ex-boyfriend Jim Carrey during their previous relationship.

New Study Refutes Jenny McCarthy's Claims About Vaccines

The comedic actor, who dated the outspoken Anti-Vaxxer from 2005-2010, has gone on an extensive rant on Twitter following California Governor Jerry Brown's signing into law recently that schoolchildren in the state will be required to be vaccinated regardless of their families' religious or personal beliefs.

In a series of Tweets posted since June 30, Carrey has reiterated he isn't against vaccines entirely, but slammed the Governor for the decision to sign the bill into law, even calling him a corporate fascist in the process.

Jenny McCarthy Comes Under Attack

"California Gov says yes to poisoning more children with mercury and aluminum in mandatory vaccines. This corporate fascist must be stopped," he wrote. "They say mercury in fish is dangerous but forcing all of our children to be injected with mercury in thimerosal is no risk. Make sense? I m not anti-vaccine. I am anti-thimerosal, anti-mercury. They have taken some of the mercury laden thimerosal out of vaccines. NOT ALL! The CDC can't solve a problem they helped start. It's too risky to admit they have been wrong about mercury/thimerosal. They are corrupt."

Carrey then went on to defend his comments, once again reiterating that his view is against the toxins found in the vaccines, but not the being vaccinated.

"All we are saying is, 'Take the neurotoxins out of the vaccines.' Make them toxin free. History will show that that was a reasonable request," he wrote. "A trillion dollars buys a lot of expert opinions. Will it buy you? TOXIN FREE VACCINES, A REASONABLE REQUEST!"

McCarthy was also an outspoken critic of vaccinations, after trying to push the theory (since discredited) that they contributed to her son, Evan's, Autism diagnosis in 2005. She has yet to publicly speak out against the new law.
