Outlander's Ron Moore isn't ready to tell viewers how season 2 will kick off.

The Starz book to TV adaptation is gearing up for it's sophomore run, but the executive producer is keeping us on out toes when it comes to the premiere.

Fans of Diana Gabaldon's time traveling series know that book 2, Dragonfly in Amber, opens not in the 18 th century with Claire and Jamie, but 200 years later in 1969. The drama is preparing to deviate from the novels, but it remains to be seen if the opening moments will honor the original text.

"I'm not going to say how we star," Moore quipped coyly at San Diego Comic-Con, according to TV Goodness. "There are changes and differences; the second novel is more complex. It has a lot more puzzle pieces, a lot more moving parts."

It is known, however, that Tobias Menzies will reprise his role as Frank Randall. Stuck two century's away form his wife, Frank featured heavily in the first half of season 1, but only appeared once following the midseason finale. Hopefully his story will pick up with speed in season 2.
