Fans of South Park won't have to wait too much longer to see new episodes of the popular Comedy Central cartoon.

On the show's official Twitter page, the start of the 19th season was confirmed for later this fall, with the season premiere beginning in September.

"ALL -NEW EPISODES of #SouthPark return on Wednesday, September 16th!" the account shared.

No other specific details have yet been revealed about the season, though Screen Crush has made a few predictions as to some of the general aspects for the season.

According to the site, the season will likely consist of a run of 10 episodes, which will be a decrease from the usual 14 divided into two blocks of seven--something that was reportedly causing problems and straining the show's co-creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

However, despite the strain, the two will be producing new episodes for the show through at least 2019, as Comedy Central has renewed the series through then.

The show follows a group of fictional boys--Stan, Kyle, Eric and Kenny and chronicles the bizarre adventures they have in their fictional town of South Park, Colorado. The show, which also features a large ensemble cast, is known for its crude language and dark humor which tends to satirize recent events in the news. The plots have run between typical issues which would potentially plague a small town to ones with a more extraordinary factor. Despite their ages, the boys are often the ones who find the best solution to handle the events.
