The Chinese debut of Quentin Tarantino's Oscar-winning film "Django Unchained", a violent Western slave revenge tale, was suddenly cancelled on Thursday for "technical reasons," movie theatres said.

Samuel Jackson sat down with a film critic from a Houston-based FOX TV affiliate show and when the topic of use of the "N" word comes up, the actor asked Jake Hamilton, a white man, to say it. "Have you ever said it? Jackson said then laughed. "Try it! We're not going to have this conversation unless you try it."

Spike Lee has made it admantly clear that he does not support and will not see "Django Unchained." The Quentin Tarantino-helmed film that was released in theaters on Christmas (Dec.25.) has sparked criticism from Lee and other critics because of its graphic depiction of slavery.
