Wedding bells were ringing this weekend for Amber Tamblyn and David Cross.

The 29-year-old Tamblyn and 48-year-old Cross were married on Saturday, according to US Weekly.

Cross and Tamblyn started dating in 2008 and have been engaged since last August.

It's unclear at this time if the couple wanted to keep the ceremony a secret, but TV Guide reported that the wedding news was first announced by filmmaker Lance Bangs. The news quickly caught on through social media outlets.

"Yo La Tengo playing Superchunk, Mission of Burma, and Pixies covers at David and Amber's wedding," Bangs messaged with a photo to his Instagram of the couple holding each other next to the band.

But it seems the newlyweds are keeping busy with their respective work schedules.

Tamblyn, who is also known for her role on "House", will play the granddaughter of a gunfighter in "Django Unchained." The latest action film by Quentin Tarantino stars Jamie Foxx as a slave that becomes a bounty hunter and travels to rescue his wife from a Mississippi plantation. The film will also star Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Samuel L. Jackson. "Django Unchained" hits theaters December 25.

Tamblyn will also star in Gabriel Cowan's "3 Nights in the Desert" with Wes Bently.

Her new husband Cross will be reprising his role for the fourth season of "Arrested Development" where he plays Tobias Funke.

Ron Howard, narrator and executive producer for "Arrested Development's" fourth season, told Huffington Post: "I think it's great and that the writing is great. It's very bold."

Fans have been highly anticipating the new season of the show which Fox took off the air in 2006 blaming low ratings despite receiving rave reviews and awards.

Congratulations to the happy couple.
