She fell down the basement stairs and became unconscious on the floor after chasing after Jake (James Nigborn) to reassure him he wouldn't get in trouble, but Sam's (Kelly Monaco) current situation is about to become more dangerous and life-threatening on General Hospital.

Jake believed she was dead after going over to her unconscious body, and in a panic, he left her there and ran away. Now, as his parents, Jason (Billy Miller) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), desperately try to find him, an awake Sam finds herself stuck and unable to move from the floor. With no one to help her, she will realize that once again, a dangerous and life-threatening situation has found her.
"I can't believe this is happening a second time," she says to herself in a preview clip for the Tuesday,Feb. 2 episode.

However, what she (or anyone else for that matter) doesn't realize is that the situation is even more dangerous than it seems. Liz's house is poised for an explosion because there is a gas leak in the basement. Not only will Sam be in danger if the house goes up in flames, the gas leaking in the basement is something she's breathing in directly--and it could prove to kill her before anyone learns she's there and comes to rescue her from what is looking like an almost certain death.
General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
