The problem with advice is, it only works when the person you are giving it to wants to hear it. Video vixen turned author Karrine Steffans learned that the hard way when she tried to warn Christina Milian about the man she claims as her #MCM (man crush Monday) on Instagram.

Lil' Wayne Drops New Single, "Sh-t Remix" From "Tha Carter V"

Karrine Steffans and Lil' Wayne have a long history. Though he does his best to not speak on the women he deals with, Steffans wrote about their drawn out history in her first book, "Confessions of a Video Vixen," released in 2006, and it seems like the two will never close that chapter no matter who is in the picture. For the past several months, Milian seems to be Wayne's newest girlfriend.

She briefly spoke about their relationship when she appeared on "The Wendy Williams Show" to promote her new E! reality show, "Christina Milian Turned Up." Though she did not call him her boyfriend, she did call him her "Man Crush Everything," and added, "We have a great chemistry and a great involvement in each other's life... I want to protect that."

Cash Money May Have Some Things to Get Together, But Wayne is Focused on the Music

Milian even posted, then deleted, a post on her Instagram dedicated to Lil' Wayne.

. Well, Ms. Steffans thinks she should slow her roll and warned her on Instagram, saying, "Little girl, be careful not to claim a man who belongs to the world," in a post of a street sign with the name "Wayne." Milian boldly responded on a different celebrity blog, "It's such a shame a woman has to settle for that mentality when no man has ever cared to claim that. #Whatsmineismine."

.

Karrine Steffans then responded with another long post, basically telling her that she was not trying to throw "shade," but simply warning her to "pay attention to patterns" of the person you are dealing with. In short, Wayne will always be Wayne.
