After reports surfaced that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert's divorce may have been caused by his affair with country singer Cady Groves, , the Voice coach and country singer is fighting back and threatening to sue.

According to TMZ, Shelton is slamming the rumors, threatening to sue In Touch Magazine, which reported the story, and insisting that Groves is in on the lie. 

Shelton's attorneys have sent a letter to the magazine, demanding they retract their story, which uses Groves as its source. According to the letter, Groves became "infatuated" with Shelton and any insinuation she made that she had an affair with Shelton was a lie.

"Mr. Shelton did not have a sexual relationship or affair of any nature whatsoever with Ms. Groves," the letter reportedly said.  

However, the magazine reportedly refuses to back down, saying, "Not only does In Touch magazine stand by uts story but we have another exclusive about Blake and Miranda's divorce in this week's issue."  

Though Shelton denies the rumors, this isn't the first time since he and Lambert announced their divorce last month that infidelity has been floated around as a potential cause.  

Initially, rumors claimed Lambert was the one who strayed from the marriage, though neither she or Shelton addressed the rumors at the time.  

The threatened lawsuit is the first time either one has addressed reports of cheating.
