Dakota Johnson was spotted in Los Angeles with a handsome man who was not her boyfriend.

On Wednesday, Daily Mail posted snapshots of the 50 Shades of Grey star as she made her way through the big city wearing a black top and jeans. In some shots, she held a beverage in her hand as she appeared to have a casual day out.

There was another photo that showed the actress with a man who was clearly not her lover Matthew Hitt. While some might wonder if this causes any suspicion or not, the site referred to the guy as a "male friend" so he could simply be that.

Johnson has reportedly signed on for the film Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to the racy story. The first film showed Johnson having a lot of sex scenes with her co-star Jamie Dornan. In a previous interview with Notebook, Dornan admitted that he would often apologize to the actress for the hard-core moments they had to do together.

"If I was about to do something particularly heinous to Dakota, I would apologize in advance and say, 'I'm probably not going to derive a huge amount of pleasure out of this. I want you to know that,'" the actor said via Daily Mail.

Despite any awkward moments, Dornan mention that he and Johnson kept things professional.

Fifty Shades Darker is expected to hit theaters in February 2017.
