“It’s stupid,” he said early this morning after a judge released him.

The rapper, 43, whose real name is Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr., was working on his fitness last night at Steel Gym in Manhattan when he got into a fight with a worker and ended up throwing a protein drink that hit the employee in the back of the head, according to New York Daily News.

One patron said that the incident went as far back as Tuesday when Busta wanted to bring a camera into the gym to get footage of him working out that night. But things came to a head when the worker refused to let the cameraman come indoors.

He came back on Wednesday to purchase a Lean Body drink and the worker instructed him to leave the area.

Sean Aird, 23, who is a body builder from the Brooklyn area told the publication, “Things got heated. Busta splashed water on him and the employee threw water back. Busta’s security team got between them. The cops came and (the employee) kept changing his story…[Busta] was provoked. He never had any physical contact with him whatsoever.”

Bystanders also revealed that Busta and the man have been going back-and-forth for quite some time now and didn’t understand why the rapper was the one hit with the charge as they confirmed Aird’s story.

Even the worker said he and Busta’s feud “has been going on for a long time.”

Busta’s lawyer isn’t worried about the charges and is sure he will not be convicted.

“It’s ridiculous, it was literally a bottle of Muscle Milk.”
