Survivor: San Juan del Sur standout Keith Nale may have a hard time in his upcoming return to the show.

'Survivor: Cambodia' Players Return To Social Media

Keith is one of 20 players selected by America to return for a second season of Survivor. The 54-year-old fire captain from Louisiana became a fan favorite through his humorous confessionals and general good nature.

While not seen as a strategist, he made it all the way to the Final 4 in San Juan del Sur. Let's take a look back on his journey to the point.

New 'Survivor: Cambodia' Video Showcases All 20 Players

Keith went into the game with his son Wes Nale. They were separated at the beginning of the game, with Keith part of the Hunahpu tribe and Wes part of the Coyopa tribe. The Hunahpu tribe won the first three Immunity Challenges, keeping Keith safe. Then at the fourth Tribal Council the men of Hunahpu were divided, with Jeremy Collins ultimately joining the women in voting out Drew Christy.

Then the tribe swap took place and Keith and Wes were the only pair to still not be on the same tribe. Keith was switched to Coyopa, which lost the next two Immunity Challenges. Despite being the only person without a loved one on his tribe, he avoided being the target, joining Baylor Wilson, Jaclyn Schultz, Jon Misch and Missy Payne in voting out Kelley and Dale Wentworth.

The tribes merged, and Keith joined an alliance with Wes, Alec Christy, Josh Canfield and Reed Kelly. But Baylor, Jaclyn, Jeremy, Jon, Missy and Natalie Anderson formed a majority and voted out Josh.

Eventually, Keith led to the desolation of his alliance when he told them openly at Tribal Council to "stick to the plan," which tipped off the already paranoid Jon to play his hidden Immunity Idol. Because of this, Wes was sent home. The majority alliance voted out Reed and Alec, leaving Keith on his own.

While Keith did not know much of what was going on through most of the post-merge, he made it to the Final 4 through general likability and key Immunity wins. He would ultimately be voted out by Jaclyn, Missy and Natalie for being too big of a threat to win the game.

Now, heading into Cambodia, Keith has a reputation for not being a very good strategic player. His strength is in his easygoing personality and surprising ability to win challenges. This makes him a potentially easy person to align with and take deep into the game.

However, it is entirely possible that other players will see Keith as too unpredictable. There are also a lot of schemers in the game, so he may find difficulty relating to many players.

Cambodia Prediction: Despite not being a strong strategic threat, Keith may have trouble finding a strong group of allies. Plus, at 54 years old he's not the most physically adept competitor in the cast. We think he'll be seen as an outsider in a cast full of gamers and be voted out early.

We predict: 19th place.
