Kim Richards' Ex-Husband Discusses Money Troubles Amid 'Homeless' Allegations

On Sunday, Richards was placed under a citizen's arrest after she allegedly took three carts of merchandize to her vehicle without paying, and proceeded to enter the carts' contents into her car. Once police arrived, she was taken into custody and released the following day on $5,000 bail.

The arrest was Richards' second arrest this year.

On April 16, Richards was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she had reportedly indulged in several cocktails before being cut off by the Polo Lounge's bartender. When she refused to leave the restaurant, police were called and Richards was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication, resisting an officer, battery on an officer and trespassing.

In response to Richards' shoplifting arrest, her ex-husband Monty Brinson told Entertainment Tonight, "I couldn't imagine Kim stealing or shoplifting anything. She is a giver. I am in complete shock. Guaranteed this must be some kind of mistake, and the facts will come out soon. She was arrested for shoplifting toys in a cart, but this was a clear misunderstanding. This was not alcohol or drug related."
