Britney Spears & Lady Gaga Duet Chatter

On Tuesday, Hollywood Life announced that the iconic princess of pop will be guest starring on Jane the Virgin in the anticipated second season. She will appear in the fifth episode and will have a pretty memorable role based on what showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman said in a statement.

"We are so thrilled that Rogelio's 'nemesis'- Britney Spears- has agreed to appear on Jane the Virgin in episode 205," Urman said. "Personally, after hearing about their long standing feud (from Rogelio's point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears' side of the story, which we assume is quite different. #TeamBritney."

Zoe Saldana Defends Britney Spears?

While Spears is known for her career in the music industry, she's done a couple guest appearances on shows in the past, including Will & Grace and How I Met Your Mother.

The singer took to her Twitter page on Tuesday to announce her new role calling it a "dream come true."

One of Spears' most recent hits was the song "Pretty Girls" when she collaborated with Iggy Azalea. In an interview posted on Pop Crush last May, Spears mentioned how wonderful it was when she met Azalea.

"She invited me to her house, and I met her dog and we had salads," the 33-year-old said. "She's a very sweet girl. We hit it off. It was so much fun working with her."
