Mama Deeks (Pamela Reed) will make her debut in episode 702 (airing order unconfirmed), and Mrs. Deeks' long awaited reveal will crack the code on some on some of Marty's (Eric Christian Olsen) life decisions.

"It's a really interesting reflection on why Deeks chose to work for Hetty (Linda Hunt) and why he fell in love with Kensi (Daniela Ruah)," Olsen informed Entertainment Weekly. "His mom represents a really strong female role model in his life."

Deeks' history with his father is well known - not many preteens shoot their dads - and NCIS: LA will reveal the lengths Mrs. Deeks went through to provide a good life for her son after his abusive father went to jail.

"His mom has a blue collar job and worked her ass off to give her son the opportunities that she obviously didn't have," Olsen said. "He loves her. He knows what strength is because of her. That dynamic is going to be explored through her and now we see why he fell for the people he did in his life."
